Aquàrium Barcelona

Barcelona Aquarium houses over 11,000 fish and sea creatures of 450 different species and is one of the largest aquariums in the world. This is a fun place for both kids, they can make a camping sleeping with fishes, as adults, they have the opportunity to dive with sharks.

The Zoo first opened its doors to the public on the Festival of the Mercè in 1892, Barcelona’s patron saint’s day on 24 September, on a site that had been part of the 1888 Universal Exposition in the Parc de la Ciutadella. A number of generations have passed through this site and have undoubtedly experienced very thrilling moments, unforgettable sequences that are repeated over the years, as the children of yesterday are the parents and grandparents of today.

The Chocolate Museum is a dynamic facility promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Confectionery Guild and located in the former Sant Agustí monastery. It provides a journey through the origins of chocolate, its arrival in Europe and its spread as an element between myth and reality, its medicinal properties and nutritional value, relating tradition with the future and forming part of our collective imagination.
